Russian Slang and Idioms. Lesson 3

Today is Monday! And guess what? I have a new video lesson in store for you!
And again you will learn and pronounce 5 new slang words, and then I will test you!
Ready?

Here they are:

Кайф (n.) [KAYF] – pleasure
Example:
Я ловлю кайф от музыки.
[YA lav-LYOO KAYF at MOO-zi-ki]
Translation:
I enjoy music very much.

Классно (adv.) [KLAS-na] or классный (adj.) [KLAS-neey]– very nice, very good
Example:
У тебя классный телефон.
[OO ti-BYA KLAS-neey tye-lye-FON]
Translation:
You have a very nice phone.

Догонять (v.) [da-ga-NYAT]– to understand someone
Example:
Ты меня догоняешь?
[TEE mi-NYA da-ga-NYA-esh’]
Translation:
Do you understand me?

Падать (v.) [PA-dat’] – take a seat, sit down
Example:
Падай, будем пить чай.
[PA-day, BOO-dyem PIT’ TSHAY]
Translation:
Take a seat, we’ll have some tea.

Давай (particle) [da-VAY] – bye (in this case)
Example:
Давай, до завтра.
[da-VAY, da ZAV-tra]
Translation:
Bye, see you tomorrow.
