Numbers are a very important part of our lives. If you are planning to travel to Russia some time soon, you might want to learn Russian numbers. You will need numbers anywhere you go: public transport, prices at a supermarket, addresses and phone numbers… Well, you get the idea.
In the previous lessons you have learnt to count to 100 in Russian:
Learn Russian numbers from 1 to 10 here.
Learn Russian numbers from 10 to 20 here.
Learn Russian Numbers from 20 to 100
Now it’s time to count to 1000:
Сто [STO] 100
двести [DVYES-tee] 200
триста [TREES-ta] 300
четыреста [chee-TI-ryes-ta] 400
пятьсот [pyat’-SOT] 500
шестьсот [shees-SOT] 600
семьсот [seem-SOT] 700
восемьсот [va-seem-SOT] 800
девятьсот [dee-vyat’-SOT] 900
[TI-sya-cha] 1000
Now that you know all numbers from 100 to 1000 in Russian, all you need to do is to combine them to say any number you need.
For example:
Now, if you would like to say 215 in Russian you need to combine:
And so on….
You can try this exercise to test yourself
Please write down and say aloud the following numbers in Russian:
675, 123, 414, 981, 637, 209, 500, 888, 901, 319, 711, 1000.
I’m sure you’ve done a great job!

All beavers are kind to their baby beavers.
As you sow, you shall mow.
